I am a lecturer, researcher, artist, and theatre practitioner. I am currently undertaking my PhD in Performing Arts at the University of Lincoln. I started my academic journey with a degree in Scenography and Theatre Design at Aberystwyth University, Wales, then continued to London where I attained my Masters in Contemporary Performance Making at Brunel University. In 2016 I joined the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts in Kingston (EMCVPA), Jamaica, as the Senior Lecturer in Scenic Design, ultimately becoming the Head of the Technical Theatre Department. I also held the titles of Technical Director and Resident Designer.

While in Jamaica I designed and/or otherwise contributed to numerous major productions including nationally recognised performances both inside and outside the tertiary education context. In 2017 I helped arrange the Rex Nettleford International Conference.

Coming from a foundation of design and experimental performance, my practice has expanded into the areas of history, heritage, and dance. Building on my personal experience of dancing the maypole as a child, maypole traditions are now my primary research focus. At present, my main study is my thesis which is entitled: Maypole Dancing as Microcosm: Performing Politics, Moralities and Identities in Seventeenth-Century England.
